Who and what is Snaptotes?
SnapTotes is an innovative company that helps you create your own personalized photo handbags. We are a custom manufacturer that allows you to select your favorite style of handbag, choose your options and add your favorite image(s) to it. Because we are the manufacturer, you receive your quality custom-crafted handbag, photo wallet, or photo pillow in about three weeks!
 
Where is Snaptotes located?
Since the recent acquisition, our offices are moving! Effective March 1, 2012, all product manufacturing will take place in Missouri, just outside of St. Louis.

Can I pay by cash? If so, how?

SNAPTOTES by Eric Scott will appear on your credit card statement.

 

Can I use my bank/check card if it has a Visa/MasterCard logo on it?
Sure! Just use it the same as you would a credit card and we will take care of the rest.

 

When am I charged for my order?
You will be charged as soon as we begin to make your bag.

GIFT CARDS AND eGIFT CARDS

How do I purchase a gift certificate?

What is the difference between a Snaptotes Gift Card and eGift Card?
A Gift Card is a physical card that is sent through the mail to you or whomever you wish. An eGift Card is similar to a Gift Card with the exception of mailing a physical card, an electronic gift card is emailed to the email address of your choice. 

 
How can I check my Gift Card or eGift Card balance?
Simply click Gift Cards link at bottom of page.
 
Can I use more than one Gift Card on my order?
Only one Gift Card can be redeemed per order. The system will not allow more than one Gift Card to be used per order.
 
 

 

PRODUCT INFORMATION

How do I keep my Snaptotes clean?
For regular cleaning maintenance, go over your Snaptotes handbag with a lint brush. For fabric product, you should apply Scotchguard or a similar product that will repel moisture and water when you first receive the bag. For further cleaning, please use a damp soft towel with warm soapy water to remove dirt from the bag. For leather products, we recommend a leather conditioner to extend the life and preserve the natural beauty and character of the leather.

 

How are images made and how durable are they?
Images are actually "baked" into the fabric through what is known as a sublimation process. This sublimation process actually embeds the image into the fabric. The result is an extremely clear image that will not fade, crack or peel.

 

Do the images snap to the front of the bag (i.e. are they removable)?

No, images do not snap on the bag, therefore they are not removable. Images are actually "baked" into the fabric with what is known as a sublimation process. What kinds of fabrics are used?
Images are either printed on a white, high-quality micro fiber or a natural, genuine leather (see your product description for details). The rest of the bag is also constructed with an extremely durable micro fiber. Some bags also include options for leather upgrades.

 

Printed leather vs. printed microfiber...what's the difference?
In our unique printed leather process, the image is applied to a natural, genuine cowhide leather.  The leather is a natural product that consist of subtle variations of shade, texture and natural markings, which further add to the individual identity of your product.  As with all genuine leather, your product will wear naturally over time. 


There will be a color variation when ordering printed leather vs. microfiber as microfiber is a man-made product.  The color on a microfiber product will more closely match in color to a printed photograph.  The color on a printed leather product will not be as vibrant as a microfiber product.

PHOTO & IMAGE QUESTIONS

Can I add the same image to the backside of my photo accessory?
Yes. Some SnapTotes products have this option. Depending on the bag you choose, there may be an additional $10-$15 fee to place your image on both sides of the bag. Simply choose the two-sided option when ordering the bag and upload the same image twice.

 

Can I put a different image of each side of the photo product?
There is an option on most bags to include an image on both sides of the bag. If you select this option, you will be asked to upload two images. You can choose to use the same image twice or a different image on each side.  There may be an additional charge for a double sided photo product.

 

Can I put multiple images on one side of a bag?
If you have a photo editing program, like PhotoShop, you can combine several photos into one image that is at least 1024 x 768 pixels or greater and we will gladly print it on a bag for you. Save the file as a .jpg file and upload it. You can also choose our collage service for an additional fee and upload up to 12 images per bag and we will custom build you a collage.

Can I see my image cropped on the bag?
If you are uploading you images you will have the opportunity to crop your images and proof them on the bag on screen. If you are mailing your images to us you may request to see your image cropped and we will forward a cropped image to you for approval. Simply request to see a proof when you are mailing in your picture (make sure to include an email address so that we can email you the image).

 

Will my finished Snaptotes bag appear exactly as shown in the preview?
Due to the handcrafted products and materials used, Snaptotes does not guarantee exact image placement (within less than 1/2") on the bag as it appears in the preview.

 

Can I submit any image?
You may submit any image for printing on a Snaptotes bag (a) that is not subject to any copyright or other proprietary rights restrictions; or (b) with respect to which the owner or licensor has given express authorization for you to have the image printed on commercial articles for your personal use or for your re-sale to others, as the case may be.  Any copyrighted image you submit with the consent of a copyright owner should include a notation such as "Copyright, owned by [name of owner]; used by permission".  Please note that the unauthorized use of copyrighted images is illegal and could subject you to civil and criminal liability.  You will be liable for and must indemnify SnapTotes from any damage resulting from any infringement of copyrights or other proprietary rights, or from any other harm arising from your unauthorized submission and use of an image on a Snaptotes bag.  By ordering a Snaptotes bag you confirm that you own the rights to the image(s) or have obtained relevant permission(s) to use the image(s) prior to submitting your order.

 

Can my image be changed from color to black and white?
If you are uploading you images you will have the opportunity to edit your image, where there will be a tool available for you to change the color of your picture to black and white. If you are mailing your images to us you may request that we change your image to Black and White and we will edit the image at no charge.

 

Can SnapTotes enhance the image that I provide?
SnapTotes can fix some simple problems with images such as red eye, dust from scans, etc. Major retouching is done on an as requested basis. If you would like us to make changes to your image, simply include your request or instructions in the shipping information comments field. Orders that do not include specific requests will not be enhanced.

 

How are images cropped and sized?
If you are uploading you images you will have the opportunity to crop your images and proof them on the bag on screen. If you would prefer us to crop your image, SnapTotes designers will crop and size your images to fit the construction of the bag or design a collage for you.

 

What type of image file do I need to send?
Best file format, resolution and image size.
All images should be at least 4" x 6" in size. If you have a digital image, please upload the photo as a .jpg file. The resolution from most digital cameras works fine. If your camera is 5 mega pixel or higher and you've taken the photo at the highest setting you won't have a problem. If you're not sure about any of that, you can check the file size by right clicking on your image, then, click on properties, where the size will be displayed. Images that are 2 megapixels or higher are great. Images under 2 megapixels but higher than 700kb may work, so go ahead and upload those. We will contact you if there is a problem with your photos. Photos from cell phones are not of high enough quality to use.


If you would prefer to send something by mail, your photo(s) will be returned to you; however, we cannot be responsible for photos that are damaged or lost. The photo that you send in via the mail must be an actual photo, not a photocopy or print. Only scans from traditional photo paper are acceptable. Do not send scans reproduced from laser, inkjet or bubble jet printer/copiers. Scan all prints at 300 DPI and save as a .JPG file type.

PHOTO UPLOADING TIPS
Digital images are computer files which, when opened with the right program, display a picture on your computer screen.
 
When a computer displays a digital image, it takes the data in the file and displays thousands of tiny dots on your screen. Each of these dots is called a pixel. The more pixels an image has, the more detailed the picture can be. Image quality is measured by pixels per inch, also called dots per inch, or dpi.
 
We strongly recommend that your digital pictures be at least 1024 pixels wide and at least 768 pixels tall. Here is how to make sure you have an image that is at least our recommended size:
 
If you already have an image on your Windows computer:
1. Open My Computer.

2. Find the image you want to use.

3. Set your mouse pointer on the image, click the RIGHT mouse button once, and release. A small menu will appear.

4. Set your mouse pointer at the bottom of the menu on Properties (It will highlight), click the LEFT mouse button once, and release. A new screen will pop up.

5. You should see several tabs across the top of the page. One of them will say Summary. Click it.

6. You should see a list of image properties. Width is the image width in pixels, and Height is the image height in pixels.

 

If you are planning on taking a picture with a digital camera:

1. Make sure you have a camera that takes pictures at 2 megapixels or larger.

2. Make sure your camera is set to the highest setting before taking a picture.

3. Save Images in a JPG format

4. Refer to your cameras manual for more details.

 

If you are scanning a 4" x 6" (regular photo size) image:

1. Set the scanner resolution to 300 dpi or higher and save the image in a JPG format.

2. If your scanner does not have a dpi setting, use the highest available setting.

RETURN POLICY


Do you have any kind of customer satisfaction guarantee?
If you are not satisfied with your bag, return it within 30 days and we will remake another bag (same style, same image) at no additional cost.


What is the return policy?
All products are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from shipment. If you need to return a product, please send an e-mail to service@snaptotes.com.


What is your cancellation policy?
We immediately begin processing your order. You may cancel your order only within the first 24 hours by sending an e-mail to service@snaptotes.com.

Snaptotes reserves the right to refuse order(s). We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per business or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address or a promotion code that is used in an unintended way. In the event we make a change to or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the email and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

ORDER STATUS & SHIPPING INFORMATION
Can you update me on the status of my order?
In order to check on the status of your order, log in and go to the "your account" button at the top of the screen. Go to "My Orders" and you will see all the orders that you have placed and the status of each order. If you have further questions you can email
service@snaptotes.com and someone will get back with you within 24 hours.
 
  
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to Europe, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Brazil. For all other locations, please contact support for assistance (note: we do not ship to Africa). International shipping can take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
 
How does my SnapTotes product get delivered?
All domestic orders are sent to the address you specify either FedEx or UPS Ground except for PO Box addresses.

 

How long will it take to receive my order?
Your customized SnapTotes bag will take approximately 3 weeks to be completed and shipped. Orders cannot be processed until all information is received with the photograph/digital image and payment is received. Snaptotes cannot guarantee ship dates.

 

What are the shipping and handling costs?
Shipping price varies by product and shipping location. Cost will be figured in your total price during checkout for your Snaptotes order. Please note that Snaptotes is not held responsible for any additional charges during the shipping/deliver process of your order which includes international shipments.

 

What carriers are available to ship my order?
UPS, FedEx and the United States Post Office.

 

Can a finished SnapTotes bag be delivered to someone else?
Yes. We ask you for the shipping and billing address. We will not contact the recipient in any way.

 

How will I know when my order ships?
We will email you a shipping confirmation when your order ships. If tracking service is available, we include the tracking number in your shipping confirmation email.

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WITH ORDER
Who do I contact if I am having a problem with my order?
Please e-mail service@snaptotes.com and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

Did my order go through?
If your order has successfully been entered, you will receive an email confirmation shortly thereafter. We do not process the credit card until actual production begins, so it is not uncommon for the charge to show up a few days after you place your order.

 

What do I do if I am having technical difficulty downloading images?
If you have had a problem downloading your images during your order process, simply e-mail them to service@snaptotes.com with your order number in the subject line.

 

What do I do if nothing shows up in my shopping cart?
We are sorry that you are having problems with your order. Please try to design the bag again, and it will most likely go through. If you continue to have problems, simply e-mail us at service@snaptotes.com.
